WotNot

- a little piece of heaven 11 miles from central London

Wotnot is a superbly designed one bedroom open plan houseboat with unrivalled views out from the lagoon onto the main river.

Taggs Island is a very special community just upstream from the historic Hampton Court Royal Palace.

Sixty two boats are moored on the island with 20 of them in the sheltered lagoon at the island's centre.

It is generally accepted that Wot Not is the prettiest of the lagoon boats with unequalled views out on to the River Thames.

It is the only boat in the lagoon with a full upper deck for parties, plants and relaxation and its internal design gives a huge feeling of space.

The lagoon teems with wildlife with nesting pairs of great crested grebes, coots, mallards and Sandra our resident mute swan with whoever is her current beau. Kingfishers nest in the bank opposite and huge carp swim beside the boat.

35 minutes from Waterloo and 25 minutes to Heathrow it is difficult to imagine how central this paradise is to the heart of town.

With gas central heating, vacuum sewage system, car parking right outside the boat and a fabulous roof garden, this way of life has more creature comforts than most bricks & mortar homes.

WotNot comes with a 8 foot rowing boat for messing about on the river.

The island community holds regular communal parties - the summer and bonfire night are the largest and the island is home to many creative designers, publishers, musicians, DJs, photographers and film makers.
